The Battle for the Senate Presidency opens an opportunity for the South East

The inability of the APC to pick a consensus candidate for the senate presidency should be an opportunity for the southeast. The APC 's criteria for zoning the office includes the zone that contributed the highest votes to the success of the party in the national election. Can the PDP recognize the zone that stood by it and gave the party the highest votes? Why does the PDP not care?This is the time to reward the Southeast and the Southsouth for their support during the elections.With the impasse in the APC, a united PDP in the senate can easily snatch the senate presidency and speakership of the house.After all there is no senate or house rule that states that only the party with the highest number of members can produce the leadership of any of the  chambers.
If the PDP cannot do this,then the Southeast must continue to review its political options on which party to support moving forward. Chief Uche Secondus is the acting Chairman of the PDP but not much seems to be coming from him in terms of new direction for the party.
